Good day

Hello everyone. Well I got to hold Logan today! I held him for about an hour. He did not know what to think of it at first but he settled down after about 15 min. He never fussed, he just needed more oxygen. When he was lying in his bed, he needed around 24% oxygen, then when I was holding him, he needed around 42%. The nurse said overall it went well and I should be able to hold him once a day for now.

They weighed him last night and he weighed 3 lbs., 1.3 oz. He is still tolerating his feedings and I got to change a poopy diaper this morning! He peed on himself while I was attempting to change it. Guess I'm not quite fast enough!

The doctor said they may try taking him off the C-pap today. I'm very nervous about this. They did not do a blood gas this morning and the doctor didn't think this was necessary for now. I will update later tonight.

We never know the tests we have the capability of passing until they are presented to us. I guess this would go for baby Logan too! I think he is an exceptional little guy! You and Danny must be so proud of him and I think there are a lot of people who are proud of his parents for coping as well as you do. I know behind the scenes it probably is a little harder but for us looking in, you are doing a great job!

So glad you got to hold him. I lost count how many times my neice (Nat's baby) peed on herself, me, everywhere. Believe me- nobody is fast enough. Still praying!

Yea-- you got to hold him again. He was probably beside himself to be out of his bed and it made it hard to breathe. It's so exciting that you're getting more and more contact with him. That's awesome!

Boys are notorious for peeing when the cool air hits them. Get used to it, or devise a strategy to beat him to the squirt... ha.

love you,
